Lisa 2/20/10 I lived in these apartments from the age 8-15 years old. It was a ROACH pit. We were overrun with roaches. One of the worst places to live in Gaithersburg besides Lee Street apartments, where we had roaches as well. Ick. It sucked to be poor in the '70's and '80's.
Laura 8/17/10 I lived here too 1979. It was a roach pit I agree, and Lee st too. I had forgotten. Cant believe they have been torn down. I have been out of the area since '82. When were they demolished?
Mark 12/9/10 I lived there in 1975 while attending Montgomery College. Didn't have much problem with roaches but couldn't afford to eat much either. I believed I paid $100/mo for a 1BR apt.
Robert 2/11/13 I lived here in the late 90's and then they were roach infested then as well. It was demolished in 2009 or 2010.

Steve 6/19/14 I remember hearing the story that Roseanne Gardens were built by Mr. Casey - owner of Casey Barns and many other properties -- and that he got permission to build the appts at this location (and very high density) thanks to some "contributions" he made to G'burg govt officials. Truth or fiction?
Charles White 7/23/14 I grew up in these apts. When i saw they were gone i couldn't believe my eyes. All of my memories were there.
Nancy 1/10/16 I lived there dec 71 till 76 had some roaches. It controlled them a lot of memories there but rent was good
David Fishman 7/28/19 As little kids , we had to walk through the apartment complex to get to the pond on the other side for ice skating and sailing toy boats. Always thought I was going to get mugged. Some pretty shady characters were always in the lots.
