Located in the restored railroad freight house, the museum features educational exhibits, old pictures and much more.

Montgomery County Historical Society
A great place for information on Montgomery County history. Everyone interested in local history should visit the Jane Sween Library in Rockville. It's located in the old carriage house at the historic Beall-Dawson home and they have drawers of old photographs, separated by city. The library also contains old books, newspapers, cemetery & church records, maps and videos. 

Historic Aerials
View old aerial images taken by the USDA, which were used to assess farm properties. Not all counties and states have aerials that date back very far, but fortunately, this site has plenty of historic aerials from Montgomery County, Maryland.

The Library of Congress
The LOC digital collections contain tons of high-resolution quality images from the past. Just do a search on your town or state and see what comes up – you'd be surprised.

Reed Brothers Dodge History 1915 – 2012
Great blog about the history of Reed Brothers Dodge of Rockville, which recently closed it doors after 97 years in business. In 1926 Lewis Reed, the founder, and his wife Ethlene built a craftsman-style house in Gaithersburg, at what is today 301 North Frederick Avenue.
