SummitHallHouse

In its 230 year history, this ridge top estate has been associated with significant events in such diverse fields as pioneer settlement, Civil War history, experimental agronomy, astronomy and Gaithersburg's social and physical development. The area known as Summit Hall Farm Park goes back to Gaithersburg's earliest history and the people associated with Summit Hall helped shape the city we know today. The original house, pictured on the left in 1887, was remodeled in the late 1930s, and this is the house we see today.

Laura Farkas Miller 9/25/10 I remember this beautiful estate as a sod farm. We would ice skate on the pond in the front of the estate on cold winter days.
Bob Newhouse 4/10/11 I worked for the Wilmot's in High School during the late sixties. We would meet at the town farm, then drive the old tanker truck out to the "River Farm" in Seneca. Never forget some of the guys we worked with. Picken rocks, stacking sod, planting Zoysia. "Farm livin' is the life for me."
Bob Newhouse 4/10/11 Went to High School with Frank. I remember his graduation present was a blue 1970 Corvette. Man was it nice.
Drew Mesa 7/30/11 This being Summit Hall Farm Park , I'm guessing the structure is still there?
