Greg 12/1/10 I was about 6yrs olds and I was a black child that was a porter on a float of a train. I have the picture. Now at 60yrs old, I quess that was the norm then. Well, I am a college grad now. Peace.
Fred 4/7/11 We used to take lawn chairs to sit outside Chris' or Perry's to eat popcorn, drink cokes and watch the parade.

Steve Bell 4/27/13 My parents rented a house behind Gardner's Funeral Home, on E. Diamond Ave. Gaithersburg Elem was literally in our back yard! We just walked to the corner by Ben Franklin to watch the parade, it was a great time!

Kenny Anderson 10/2/15 Just past the Firehouse on the right of this photo was the Ice House, which my dad, Jim Anderson, bought from Doug McBain about 1960. I sold many a snow cone there during Labor Day parades! 10 cents each, what a bargain.
