Shawn Brooks Lantz | 11/29/09 | MANY family Santa pics taken over the years at this spot. I remember as a child I loved playing on these steps and throwing pennies in the water. |
Bill Mohan | 2/15/10 | We lived in Rockville and visited this spot in the early 90s. On one occasion my mom and I walked through the mall with squeaky shoes after seeing a certain "cute" baby climb over the small wall out of the water. |
Lisa | 2/20/10 | I remember before Lakeforest was there, in it's place was a large lake from what I can remember. I've been going to Lakeforest since it opened. What an awesome memory to look back and see it as it was. I have good memories being there as a child, a teenager, and an adult. |
Michele | 7/5/10 | I seem to recall that carpeted area being the mall's smoking section... I also have many pictures with Santa and the Easter Bunny at Lakeforest. |
Kim | 11/6/11 | I am somewhere in the first picture. I was stationed on the second floor near the top of the escalator for the opening. I was working for the mall security at the time. |
Travis Aldous | 3/5/12 | remember being at the opening and catching a giant teddy bear that came down in a parachute. also the Village People were there and scheduled to perform to promote their movie Cant Stop the Music-remember they didn't perform as too much of a crowd for them |
Beatrice Garay | 4/5/12 | Lakeforest needs a new makeover ASAP to bring jobs to the local economy. |
Gretchen Wall | 12/4/13 | I remember going Ice Skating there every Friday night but before I ice skated I went to the 2nd floor in the middle where there was a candy store and got gummi bears!!! |
Michael Echeverria | 10/17/15 | They got rid of the children's playground area and fountain back in late 2013. Now it's just a flat tiled area. I remember playing there as a kid, I feel bad for the kid's who are going to miss that playground area and throwing coins into the water fountain for fun... :( |
