This frame house was built around 1894 for Charles and Hattie England. The house is notable for its ornate front porch with intricate scroll-sawn brackets. In 1918, the farm was sold to Forrest and Ruby Crown, who maintained the homes original features. The farm was sold to developers in 2004 and has been rehabilitated for sale as a private home.

Margie Fraley Hickman | 9/23/11 | I used to ride to see my friends grandmother who was Mrs Crown. She was the sweetest lady in the world. When I married she gave me one of her living room suites to have from this old house. So sorry to see things like this get destroyed. |
Joe Coratola | 11/2/12 | We are in the process of restoring the farmhouse. I would love to get copies of any of the original house pictures and of the log house for our use in the restoration. |
Joseph Earp | 3/20/13 | Does anyone know what year the Crown's moved out? |
Shaun Curtis | 3/20/13 | According to a family member, the house became vacant after Ruby O. Crown died in 1981. After that, the house was used as a place to relax from working out in the fields. Charlie Crown was the last to farm the land and he died in 2004. |
Dolores | 10/2/15 | Where is this house, and who is renovating it? |
